It's called <a href="http://bit.ly/3DuBZaX" target="_blank">'Cheers to pour decisons'</a>...What a lovely vintage stamp. This stamp is especially for New Year's day and it is also quite funny too!</p><p>This is my card.....</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcNdFRd_3MuKOA1l2qSYey__jvLSi7qQc4nBzBhSJMrWRRNavuojc0BqVYvygMEHJCooLk3qQi5edXRwjqCLsxSoW-lkMJMxKkbZCLsuXY_mucqF_eRi7q8ixqER0bDCX8e2DPZUax8mST/s1200/Cheers-to-pour.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1200" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcNdFRd_3MuKOA1l2qSYey__jvLSi7qQc4nBzBhSJMrWRRNavuojc0BqVYvygMEHJCooLk3qQi5edXRwjqCLsxSoW-lkMJMxKkbZCLsuXY_mucqF_eRi7q8ixqER0bDCX8e2DPZUax8mST/w400-h400/Cheers-to-pour.png" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I just love this vintage look..... Don't you?</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The background for this card was very simple to create using two stencils; one with small and large circles and one with a brick wall. What inspired the look was the thought of champagne bubbles or any bubbly drink that one would open during the New Year.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Resources used:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Ranger's Distress inks- peeled paint, twisted citron, candied apple, festive berries, antique linen, spiced marmalade.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Stencils- Large and small dots, Stamplorations- brick wall</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Copics- R27 and YG05</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">In case you are wondering which came first...the wall was done first before the dots were added. Reason being I was using a very light colour for it. Then I added the darker colours with the dots. I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out but I was so happy with the result. This is one of the ways I show people the versatility of digital stamps.......... they can be used with stencils...!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiY4xZHkwq0ygO-bs2SYTCLmjPy-4bjfTu0dqE4eeRoNlijwrrn2KyEV4tC30WYtPd4NuTi3bf9vmBa0mdEdNqlMgnWAI3chmDLkXWYOF4hoguHun44cdriyRydoUEe5ew1F3SiWq8jgnwj/s1200/Cheers-to-pour.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiY4xZHkwq0ygO-bs2SYTCLmjPy-4bjfTu0dqE4eeRoNlijwrrn2KyEV4tC30WYtPd4NuTi3bf9vmBa0mdEdNqlMgnWAI3chmDLkXWYOF4hoguHun44cdriyRydoUEe5ew1F3SiWq8jgnwj/s320/Cheers-to-pour.png" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Hope you enjoy this post and feel free to ask any questions. I did consider buying one from Starbucks one time in Miami but I went for my usual caffe mocha. Maybe I will one day as I love pumpkin and add it frequently to meals.</p><p>Using copic markers, I coloured up the image very simply using tones of brown and green. It reminds you to take things slowly and while doing so... have a cup of coffee...or cocoa if you prefer...</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPGkedbRFdQo4cPeOkZXMqKkRu_JJ5e3GQT6F2-H61wlov9RBUlXvZNBOUEtZnOHyXI4ufnJjMVzU1nx390TpIIN4oG1fvshViqGIwI2HTYroRysbBIJCYIbkS9MyTc3RE2dMh2Al7Szre/s1200/Tropical-cafe-2.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1200" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPGkedbRFdQo4cPeOkZXMqKkRu_JJ5e3GQT6F2-H61wlov9RBUlXvZNBOUEtZnOHyXI4ufnJjMVzU1nx390TpIIN4oG1fvshViqGIwI2HTYroRysbBIJCYIbkS9MyTc3RE2dMh2Al7Szre/w400-h400/Tropical-cafe-2.png" width="400" /></a></div><br /><p>Have you noticed the tropical touches to the image?......that's because I am from the Caribbean so it is a nod to my roots. The design includes a coconut tree and my country's colours...(can you guess what they are?) The stamp is called Party Paws by Crafter's Companion and it features an adorable panda in a santa suit carrying a large gift. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHaVdr4P8sv-So2gPNk9B6F6rAGqR82OVNHOXUIgffy-viGpQyHAWy3ouKC-y_qRiFR0-LeoFIGWnzv5ATMwHr9RXpXVI2gLcpmoAZVkd5RfwqzwkkCPCTeQXBn9P4LUE_AAH-NvcCjgXt/s1889/IMG_1279.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1750" data-original-width="1889" height="296" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHaVdr4P8sv-So2gPNk9B6F6rAGqR82OVNHOXUIgffy-viGpQyHAWy3ouKC-y_qRiFR0-LeoFIGWnzv5ATMwHr9RXpXVI2gLcpmoAZVkd5RfwqzwkkCPCTeQXBn9P4LUE_AAH-NvcCjgXt/s320/IMG_1279.jpg" width="320" /></a><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6ZD-XKDz2Uhk5woXyVYrr2LMvAaXyypvnREVIrpe_qWxbuksSaZCfgU-DuGmzCXKCfnreczs96H42qZNRAYhdUVVW5_66v-LBZ8zfF_6KD_fnro_s4Lv6xTRTmY0hwxyWoaQltl8uJLGa/s1818/IMG_1284.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1818" data-original-width="1818" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6ZD-XKDz2Uhk5woXyVYrr2LMvAaXyypvnREVIrpe_qWxbuksSaZCfgU-DuGmzCXKCfnreczs96H42qZNRAYhdUVVW5_66v-LBZ8zfF_6KD_fnro_s4Lv6xTRTmY0hwxyWoaQltl8uJLGa/s320/IMG_1284.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /></div><br /><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p>Now before I tell you about each card separately...let me say that they were both made using transparency, crafter's companion rubber stamp, copic markers and were decorated using unique embellishments.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHB_kW1vBighWVu_Vy6TK-OSpRe8siYmrN8QGi_sLmLoPGMIqXrpbeOZRuN83NBJs_I8aARDi8XY3WAFDF6NQc8P5hTPGQTaalKK7aHwgNz4Fm1L32pFc5RatQ8SS0BM0eM9z8mffn3Zmt/s1889/IMG_1279.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1750" data-original-width="1889" height="296" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHB_kW1vBighWVu_Vy6TK-OSpRe8siYmrN8QGi_sLmLoPGMIqXrpbeOZRuN83NBJs_I8aARDi8XY3WAFDF6NQc8P5hTPGQTaalKK7aHwgNz4Fm1L32pFc5RatQ8SS0BM0eM9z8mffn3Zmt/s320/IMG_1279.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p><p>The first card I will tell you about is the guy card. The card has a window feature using transparency which lifts up and reveals the coloured image below. The image is also stamped on the transparency in black. This gives the image a sharper black outline.... surprise!!!!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6wy3MH3V0jkiUXf84x-KF4gTb0P0ouwHpz0GFGXC5krwTs-T-GTKVU-DselhhsrOKlHdH-ATYcSk7XvqzMrBZUJgruz0RyRHVf3FMvR9zwgkvMzJYnwb3VBoT0psf0j83us6vEo81Rt9F/s2048/IMG_1288.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6wy3MH3V0jkiUXf84x-KF4gTb0P0ouwHpz0GFGXC5krwTs-T-GTKVU-DselhhsrOKlHdH-ATYcSk7XvqzMrBZUJgruz0RyRHVf3FMvR9zwgkvMzJYnwb3VBoT0psf0j83us6vEo81Rt9F/s320/IMG_1288.jpg" width="240" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p><p>I created a simple background around the image...a wall and flooring.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUcf_xqes-t6h9LhoLZWgSX8uc7lYuu-J5eCK92V2815_baIHoQ55FtKMKDVyyvBd413xWJNXxOtHwPJBuNPD8NoCqsSWY6Sq0xokUprZIvNXrykhPNLnY4xAskxuJrqLrqC_26SM7ZgF4/s1818/IMG_1283.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1818" data-original-width="1818" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUcf_xqes-t6h9LhoLZWgSX8uc7lYuu-J5eCK92V2815_baIHoQ55FtKMKDVyyvBd413xWJNXxOtHwPJBuNPD8NoCqsSWY6Sq0xokUprZIvNXrykhPNLnY4xAskxuJrqLrqC_26SM7ZgF4/s320/IMG_1283.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p><p>The card is embellished using navy blue and white twine in the form of a simple bow. Now here caomes another surprise...the inside of the card also has some colour. I coloured the message inside (by my favourite things) in yellow to match the front and this is your guy card. First time I have done this and I am sharing it with you.</p><p>Its makes for a great card from a daughter to her dad or for a grand dad from his grandaughter. Its in the traditional christmas colours.... blue and gold.</p><p>Okay time for the gal card....it is really pretty. Even though it doesnt have any fancy flaps or inside surprises....it still has alot of fanciness in the design at front . </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxRwCQxLhG20_iGcQU4JsFmWhWQDSfZtiEsd876gpMw16UgRnkxT3cPbTUAkSTfr935OgxichanGjO1Ms8IxKoDyQQGVz0TmXzTH6RehrVbiTHkyT2RYgYLtnFZJm_9q3-TgUo62UNCNEt/s1818/IMG_1284.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1818" data-original-width="1818" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxRwCQxLhG20_iGcQU4JsFmWhWQDSfZtiEsd876gpMw16UgRnkxT3cPbTUAkSTfr935OgxichanGjO1Ms8IxKoDyQQGVz0TmXzTH6RehrVbiTHkyT2RYgYLtnFZJm_9q3-TgUo62UNCNEt/s320/IMG_1284.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p><p>It is embossed, distressed and accesorized with satin ribbon, rhinestones and glitter glue. </p><p>The card uses the traditional colours red and green. The transparency in this one is glued on to the background image. This protects the image from being smudged. Cool huh?</p><p>Hope you enjoy these two cards and I look forward to having you back next week at Sweet Cherry Cards.</p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p>Redapple39http://www.blogger.com/profile/01576233653199713801noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3515026912336139962.post-8592594227238351432021-07-27T16:12:00.000-04:002021-07-27T16:12:41.988-04:00Its all in the theme - Personalised Cards<p> Have you ever wondered how I personalise my cards?.......Well ...., it's all in the theme.</p><p>When I first started card making, I thought card themes were only 'birthday, christmas, get well etc.' Well several years and many cards later, my ideas and thinking have definitely changed.....</p><p>Take today's card for instance......</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjrPZlpBSmkejpitocWXtNd4bPWib52VrRXrXBaSq_hmXzQYIl9bdOnMrO2rvZ5PqogOuRuKLqwXYyLfnGJhRPJSLg5Erju9ehJ2lJbW7jH4R3_XETY0LSvTxyyh6ZW50xZ8rahE81jlYTM/s2048/IMG_1244.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjrPZlpBSmkejpitocWXtNd4bPWib52VrRXrXBaSq_hmXzQYIl9bdOnMrO2rvZ5PqogOuRuKLqwXYyLfnGJhRPJSLg5Erju9ehJ2lJbW7jH4R3_XETY0LSvTxyyh6ZW50xZ8rahE81jlYTM/s320/IMG_1244.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="color: #0b5394;">'LET'S DANCE'</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">If you needed a birthday card for a friend who is either into ballroom dancing, the flair of the tango dance, or who just loves dancing then this is surely the one for her. Blue is one of my favourite every day colours. Bet you didnt know that! It is also one of Christmas's traditional colours. </p><p>Excited to see them yet ...well let's take a look at my two blue cards....</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgw2Jr4JNqrPzgsWiR2auJp_PIHDNxBTRsYy5ieAigKScn2tBHSbqsm9MY493HaDRrzulYMmLs_xjLJqh3v2ivr5n1QnsWLw9d8D97fSMYTpwWiZkP1zfOYET389c8aboLc-IVPtV6DWKwZ/s1841/IMG_1232.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1841" data-original-width="1796" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgw2Jr4JNqrPzgsWiR2auJp_PIHDNxBTRsYy5ieAigKScn2tBHSbqsm9MY493HaDRrzulYMmLs_xjLJqh3v2ivr5n1QnsWLw9d8D97fSMYTpwWiZkP1zfOYET389c8aboLc-IVPtV6DWKwZ/w390-h400/IMG_1232.jpg" title="Two Blue Slim Cards" width="390" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I had so much fun putting together these two ideas. One of the things I had to ensure was that the storyline and any additional images follow the theme of the front of the card. Both cards have unexpected features when you open them.</div><p></p><p>This first card is intended for a male recipient. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIs9kG6VXugOdxO0rVnfG04VqZLZ6vMIS6gHJKYYUkEkA6r_wgQqrgahJhq6MjqdxwSlDSdv-wNjO6JQe5-5bsTUqlE12BxZk0yJy0eWj73qmz-JH-5hu3HUDxGTXaHEQN1tra50ZQIBwX/s2048/IMG_1225.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1096" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIs9kG6VXugOdxO0rVnfG04VqZLZ6vMIS6gHJKYYUkEkA6r_wgQqrgahJhq6MjqdxwSlDSdv-wNjO6JQe5-5bsTUqlE12BxZk0yJy0eWj73qmz-JH-5hu3HUDxGTXaHEQN1tra50ZQIBwX/s320/IMG_1225.jpg" /></a></div><p><br /></p><p>I love using birds in my masculine themed cards.... I think you can't go wrong with that. For this card I let the patterned paper do the hard work. Just die cutting a window in the front, using the die cut Holiday lamp post frame from <a href="http://www.memoryboxco.com">memory box</a> makes the card even more interesting. Life sometimes unwraps in various ways and sometimes you have to take a step back and re- evaluate the wrapping and make adjustments and add longer tape...hahahha.</p><p>I have taken a step back but here I am....</p><p>Today I wanted to share with you a traditional red Christmas card with the cardinal as its main feature. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEik_jVwPTrK7ePwSW2lPuv1t-G4YcS_S5KozvRpjL2apT0oZBQrkeYB6H7FRw7sDB8ChK7i0hFvDfyBj2phrw7KPdghgfOrtKP_ADhU_2VMcZSCinifqvMeqFqRYpa8YAR_hSVO69Fi2cw-/s2048/IMG_1182.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEik_jVwPTrK7ePwSW2lPuv1t-G4YcS_S5KozvRpjL2apT0oZBQrkeYB6H7FRw7sDB8ChK7i0hFvDfyBj2phrw7KPdghgfOrtKP_ADhU_2VMcZSCinifqvMeqFqRYpa8YAR_hSVO69Fi2cw-/w300-h400/IMG_1182.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The cardinal is one of my fav christmas images...I think it is because of its red colour....my fave go-to colour for Christmas cards.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The card is 73/4 " X 5" and the design style I used is an Easel card with a see-through window.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiRo-Yp3-FWoGR32iLsUXKlLH_qxUH_licKL-MwDTVN-or34IvD9vgAxKDuy6Qj09C7G8ORWIXQ8AGNqEKMUo3CjsZScD6fnkqv-vaE_QXyxRscS9eUaIYz8Y8e-IEwE9Dbi5wwp-MHoSHF/s2048/IMG_1185.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiRo-Yp3-FWoGR32iLsUXKlLH_qxUH_licKL-MwDTVN-or34IvD9vgAxKDuy6Qj09C7G8ORWIXQ8AGNqEKMUo3CjsZScD6fnkqv-vaE_QXyxRscS9eUaIYz8Y8e-IEwE9Dbi5wwp-MHoSHF/w300-h400/IMG_1185.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">This is a side view of the card.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"> The first thing I did was to colour the cardinal created by spellbinders. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4TY-44whBxwYhrx4oteGDut7DIGfM5s7DR3jvz7RH4ec9_ZnO7cqrRrDMFF0VnElKkv1fGeD0t1zPz2TQXLynzcxSRtpntCgTUh2jCHjQdJP-Y0RqbRh0DkwMHjutcLG08W2EG8zbYsno/s2048/IMG_1186.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4TY-44whBxwYhrx4oteGDut7DIGfM5s7DR3jvz7RH4ec9_ZnO7cqrRrDMFF0VnElKkv1fGeD0t1zPz2TQXLynzcxSRtpntCgTUh2jCHjQdJP-Y0RqbRh0DkwMHjutcLG08W2EG8zbYsno/s320/IMG_1186.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">After stamping the image with fog ink by Simon Says Stamp, I painted the image using KOI watercolour paints in :-</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Vermillion, Carmine, Deep yellow, Black, Viridian, Yellow ochre, Prussian Blue. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I haven't painted in a while so I had to literally dust off my paints to use them lol.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">After doing so, I cut the shape out with scissors and set it aside.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Then taking left over die-cut red cardstock which I saved to use at a future date (like now)...I folded the top over so this would serve as the flap for the card. Here is a snapshot of all 3 cards</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyvasFSJxJBxaidu0XmIRqyFefIkh9XsLxBybfkllGE1uJaaMUusWn6uMrLKu9r3aZYQIlt3WgQhU380QH2A8IzQwxer0PzTYVFm8AF2Mnhioq-hlrGY_8a5Y9knpDhjFJCHqjvDX3w9AS/s1024/Seotember+20+2020.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="768" data-original-width="1024" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyvasFSJxJBxaidu0XmIRqyFefIkh9XsLxBybfkllGE1uJaaMUusWn6uMrLKu9r3aZYQIlt3WgQhU380QH2A8IzQwxer0PzTYVFm8AF2Mnhioq-hlrGY_8a5Y9knpDhjFJCHqjvDX3w9AS/w640-h480/Seotember+20+2020.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><p>For the first card I used the <a href="https://stamplorations.com/standard-stencils/plaid-maker?rq=plaid%20maker%20stencil&aff=renee">stamplorations plaid maker</a> and <a href="https://stamplorations.com/square-stencils/all-blooms?rq=floral%20stencils&aff=renee">all blooms stencils</a>, <a href="https://stamplorations.com/clear-stickers/botanical-backgrounds?rq=botanical%20backgrounds&aff=renee">stamplorations botanical stickers</a>, ranger distress inks picked raspberry and spiced marmalade, ranger crystal stickles glitter, Autumn Leaves acrylic glaze, jewel embellishments, copic markers and prismacolor pencils.</p><p>I started with the design features in the background with the <a href="https://stamplorations.com/standard-stencils/plaid-maker?rq=plaid%20maker%20stencil&aff=renee">stamplorations plaid maker</a> and <a href="https://stamplorations.com/square-stencils/all-blooms?rq=floral%20stencils&aff=renee">all blooms stencils</a>. Using distress inks I situated one edge of the stencil, facing the opposite edge of the paper and partially stencilled one of the blooms. I did the same thing on the opposite end.</p><p>Then I grabbed my <a href="https://stamplorations.com/standard-stencils/plaid-maker?rq=plaid%20maker%20stencil&aff=renee">stamplorations plaid maker</a> and laid on two layers of distress inks to create the plaid.</p><p>Next I coloured the floral stickers from <a href="https://stamplorations.com/clear-stickers/botanical-backgrounds?rq=botanical%20backgrounds&aff=renee">stamplorations botanical stickers</a> with pemcils and markers and cut a few pieces out and adhered them to the right edge of the card. </p><p>For embellishment I used jewels and acrylic glaze in the stamens. I also added glitter to the blooms.</p><p>Card #1</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2LFw626wV1WxZYAUlOnK36wrquFqWKiKa6K40YB8kZmdUe7WSmFBFrw3_UNfY7Wogl1SeLG-DU8HczSoMA2LMwcP981QEHmguDKX1vDbu5t46wuMOQdv4ZR4bXq_VfQTglLrZcU1CedY/s1024/September+28+2020+1.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1024" data-original-width="768" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2LFw626wV1WxZYAUlOnK36wrquFqWKiKa6K40YB8kZmdUe7WSmFBFrw3_UNfY7Wogl1SeLG-DU8HczSoMA2LMwcP981QEHmguDKX1vDbu5t46wuMOQdv4ZR4bXq_VfQTglLrZcU1CedY/w300-h400/September+28+2020+1.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">The second card was composed using <a href="https://stamplorations.com/clear-stickers/birthday-word-art?rq=birthday%20art%20stickers&aff=renee">Stamplorations Birthday word Art stickers</a>, <a href="https://stamplorations.com/search?q=brick%20wall%20stencil&aff=renee">Stamplorations brick wall</a><a href="https://stamplorations.com/search?q=brick%20wall%20stencil&aff=renee"> </a>and <a href="https://stamplorations.com/square-stencils/shooting-stars?rq=shooting%20stars%20stencil&aff=renee">shooting stars stencils</a>, pink gelato metallic melon, glitter, Dylusions and Utrecht acrylic paints, paper scraps.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">This card was actually the first one made...I love how the brick wall feature (<a href="https://stamplorations.com/search?q=brick%20wall%20stencil&aff=renee">Stamplorations brick wall</a>) looked so bright in Dylusions acrylic pure sunshine paint which I applied using a paint brush. I haven't used this in a while so it took a few tries to get the mixture right, lol (I also mixed in a little utrecht yellow acrylic paint to brighten and thicken the mix as I made it a bit too runny ). The <a href="https://stamplorations.com/square-stencils/shooting-stars?rq=shooting%20stars%20stencil&aff=renee">shooting stars stencils</a> was painted in funky fuchsia.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">I then cut the <a href="https://stamplorations.com/clear-stickers/birthday-word-art?rq=birthday%20art%20stickers&aff=renee">Stamplorations Birthday word Art stickers</a> in two and affixed them to the yellow brick wall and smooshed some metallic melon on the sticker to add artistic flair to it.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">I found some grey scraps of paper with silver foil accents to add some more drama......</div><p>Card #2</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipcGMGEy_C9Z8e5ieqlEY9UVw-9D0gdxyk5McM6xobC-6uPb1wafPytYl_rbP63cEDHJvXBzLGrtMArCslq4DTuZwLEDPhDb8UM0-Tf_rryUgDackRjwlMv7QOMinHRWmBsoXodNR-iuM/s1024/September+28+2020+2.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1024" data-original-width="768" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipcGMGEy_C9Z8e5ieqlEY9UVw-9D0gdxyk5McM6xobC-6uPb1wafPytYl_rbP63cEDHJvXBzLGrtMArCslq4DTuZwLEDPhDb8UM0-Tf_rryUgDackRjwlMv7QOMinHRWmBsoXodNR-iuM/w300-h400/September+28+2020+2.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p>For the third card I used <a href="https://stamplorations.com/clear-stickers/artsy-geometric-backgrounds?rq=geometric%20backgrounds&aff=renee">Stamplorations artsy geometric background stickers</a> for the word "coffee"and the <a href="https://stamplorations.com/clear-stickers/coffee-heaven?rq=coffee%20heaven%20stickers&aff=renee">Coffee Heaven stickers</a>. On the background I also used the <a href="https://stamplorations.com/out-of-stock-stamps/bloomin-spring-coffee-basket?rq=coffee%20stamps&aff=renee">Stamplorations Bloomin' Spring Coffee basket</a> stamp, copic markers, prismacolor colour pencils, sizzix alphabet dies, Multi-craft sequins, Rangers glossy accents, brown cord, Dandelion and Rich cocoa Memento die inks.</p><p>This beauty was really fun to do. I partially stamped <a href="https://stamplorations.com/out-of-stock-stamps/bloomin-spring-coffee-basket?rq=coffee%20stamps&aff=renee">Stamplorations Bloomin' Spring Coffee basket</a> on two sides of the background which I partially coloured with pencils and markers. The <a href="https://stamplorations.com/clear-stickers/artsy-geometric-backgrounds?rq=geometric%20backgrounds&aff=renee">Stamplorations artsy geometric background stickers</a> were used to cut out the letters to form the word "coffee".</p><p>Next I added <a href="https://stamplorations.com/clear-stickers/coffee-heaven?rq=coffee%20heaven%20stickers&aff=renee">Coffee Heaven stickers</a> which I cut in half and placed one horizontal and the other vertical....how cool is that....... and I embellished with Multicraft sequins.</p><p>Card #3</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjPPj0XfGCmozjTGNiQDKx6CNFzjt0OmB_VHv04XIof6tjg1hbkgXCCBToMAXjckkj6WhJfP9E7UPlLUkHtDw2RlHoQbaxIonaew38UHOrLvTKKiyB5egOIPrN2hcOGHLO3RcYKycP4tE/s1024/September+28+2020+3.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1024" data-original-width="768" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjPPj0XfGCmozjTGNiQDKx6CNFzjt0OmB_VHv04XIof6tjg1hbkgXCCBToMAXjckkj6WhJfP9E7UPlLUkHtDw2RlHoQbaxIonaew38UHOrLvTKKiyB5egOIPrN2hcOGHLO3RcYKycP4tE/w300-h400/September+28+2020+3.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><p><br /></p><p>Hope you enjoyed my mixed media projects. Aren't they adorable...so let me tell you more about what I did....</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkc9lBNYkZ8MNN9D6VSe2RqjXX-2tELIWPvqknf7sftW5lsfvY9jFx09iQJiElprSOL5ezSmljv2nDprQgHnGG_RhifzcgU20yqHwujmyQZKZNEFjKddZfZdJd6TF_Wp0fWNoBugXH025f/s1024/Stamplorations+August+17.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1024" data-original-width="768" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkc9lBNYkZ8MNN9D6VSe2RqjXX-2tELIWPvqknf7sftW5lsfvY9jFx09iQJiElprSOL5ezSmljv2nDprQgHnGG_RhifzcgU20yqHwujmyQZKZNEFjKddZfZdJd6TF_Wp0fWNoBugXH025f/s640/Stamplorations+August+17.jpg" /></a></div><p>The first card is the beautiful blue floral card. The background was created using the <a href="https://stamplorations.com/square-stencils/all-blooms">Stamplorations All Blooms stencil</a>. Then I did a second one and adhered the <a href="https://stamplorations.com/clear-stickers/inspirational-1">Word Art Inspirational sticker</a> and diecut a rectangular piece and superimposed it onto the first background as seamles as I could, thus creating a raised inlay.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjRjw5LtaUehMeuT9-6VvkVv6VvaK-WhmlHjZxC6aw8LJmcpdi6kJQRwsaw5af_4h3qArPQZcc-FfZU5-CpuGtmDYjcFlgbZU2pMUG-c9tmA9BOXRLK-Nt_BrYj4hOrc4yKBAzbWOwP_H6/s1024/Stamplorations+August+17+2.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1024" data-original-width="768" height="512" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjRjw5LtaUehMeuT9-6VvkVv6VvaK-WhmlHjZxC6aw8LJmcpdi6kJQRwsaw5af_4h3qArPQZcc-FfZU5-CpuGtmDYjcFlgbZU2pMUG-c9tmA9BOXRLK-Nt_BrYj4hOrc4yKBAzbWOwP_H6/w384-h512/Stamplorations+August+17+2.jpg" width="384" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The second card is a recessed die cut inlay. Using another of the <a href="https://stamplorations.com/clear-stickers/inspirational-1?aff=renee">inspirational word art stickers </a>I adhered it to the stencilled background, created with the <a href="https://stamplorations.com/mini-stencils/droplets-mini?aff=renee">mini droplets stencil</a>. I then die cut three fancy rectangles and added double sided tape to raise the background thus creating 3 recessed areas.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiP-RA6QqPbyPThy-2_y1277HuwM1s91-SUN3H6eJv2h5P4ddo0ECRZe0MS4MoyrzXdNyd7F7uQB9CHwJAN5E9-m7U3wsf1INgFQmLIzIr8LmSgycS4hJF_e2yFwu2eZ2_wiwnSHLIvKiru/s1024/Stamplorations+Aug+17.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1024" data-original-width="768" height="512" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiP-RA6QqPbyPThy-2_y1277HuwM1s91-SUN3H6eJv2h5P4ddo0ECRZe0MS4MoyrzXdNyd7F7uQB9CHwJAN5E9-m7U3wsf1INgFQmLIzIr8LmSgycS4hJF_e2yFwu2eZ2_wiwnSHLIvKiru/w384-h512/Stamplorations+Aug+17.jpg" width="384" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">For the third card I created a patterned inlay with the words <a href="https://stamplorations.com/word-dies/birthday-wishes-phrase-die">birthday wishes</a> and the <a href="https://stamplorations.com/clear-stickers/botanical-backgrounds?rq=botanical%20back&aff=renee">botanical sticker </a>set. I first adhered the sticker to white cardstock and then diecut the words birthday wishes. Having done this , I diecut the words out of the green background and inserted the words created from the <a href="https://stamplorations.com/clear-stickers/botanical-backgrounds?rq=botanical%20back&aff=renee">botanical sticker</a>.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhc6gtjrtL6h1CshIsb9qnwrqvVG1pWHA725OC9O9tPnxJeQGo8FYYXqpnNi5isaWfUaWlYeTG53a0lZGhwaDSbQU6DMSZTQA8wzt_pfhCW-3QUuGZtEe_-EGihn74jdJaVMwd1LtW57Ddw/s1024/Stamplorations+Ausust+17+3.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1024" data-original-width="768" height="512" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhc6gtjrtL6h1CshIsb9qnwrqvVG1pWHA725OC9O9tPnxJeQGo8FYYXqpnNi5isaWfUaWlYeTG53a0lZGhwaDSbQU6DMSZTQA8wzt_pfhCW-3QUuGZtEe_-EGihn74jdJaVMwd1LtW57Ddw/w384-h512/Stamplorations+Ausust+17+3.jpg" width="384" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Hope you enjoyed this week's card creations for the Sticker Monday Blog and I look forward to seeing you back next week for the 2nd part of Sticker Monday for August.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"> Don't forget to comment for a chance to win a $15 gift card. I am always excited to be guest designing for Stamplorations as they have susch awesome products and the team led by Shery and her husband are fantastic. For part 2 of July's Sticker Monday with Renee, I have some glamorous cards for you.... Yesss... Yes...you can add glitz and colour to black and white clear stickers especially the ones at <a href="https://stamplorations.com?aff=renee ">Stamplorations</a> which include images. So what are you waiting on....take a look below....<div><br /></div><div><div>For all three cards, the <a href="https://stamplorations.com/search?q=stickers&aff=renee">stickers</a> are the showpieces and the main focus of the cards. See how much colour was added to the <a href="https://stamplorations.com/search?q=stickers&aff=renee">stickers</a>? I used copic markers and glitter glue to enhance all of the <a href="https://stamplorations.com/search?q=stickers&aff=renee">stickers</a> I also used coloured cardstock to further embellish the sticker on the yellow card. </div><div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifI6tVcmLT8J_6WbktsnF4e8_rXijgdyUmd_524GMI0VytPagQvbPVjksW9RVAcQ89HE7VB5vtJHBqrWUKQH1BYbjaffuLmWaRzcFdKFDXT9nsuCFFZtnL7Zm3tUd6zBNPr_zY9Efms-8x/s1047/Sticker+Monday+July+27.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="751" data-original-width="1047" height="358" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifI6tVcmLT8J_6WbktsnF4e8_rXijgdyUmd_524GMI0VytPagQvbPVjksW9RVAcQ89HE7VB5vtJHBqrWUKQH1BYbjaffuLmWaRzcFdKFDXT9nsuCFFZtnL7Zm3tUd6zBNPr_zY9Efms-8x/w500-h358/Sticker+Monday+July+27.jpg" width="500" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>Before I removed the stickers from their backing, I coloured them up using several copic markers and then added glitter glue. <font color="#0b5394">Here is card #1</font></div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="text-align: left;">With this card, I coloured not only the image of the cake but also the special effect with the extra dashes which I used to convey the idea of a glowing golden cake. Before adding the glitter, I gave the copics a few mins to dry so it wouldn't smudge and then added the glitter glue. It took about 20-30 mins to dry and then I matted it on white cardstock. The oval blue and white striped background was in my stash and I thought it complemented the sticker rather well.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtnS8FExzLW3UIe0U01VCgHeqH7Rp2dKsz0-urN5wAZj16Ugo52ptx8NNQpPRB7xtnPZtdTXU-GGJirp1899wJ6Ian6LBUypDnHTWRxa-6eoY-Y-VXsL6CpXZkEJuRC5YB5IapGgFCDz8/s1024/Sticker+Monday+July27+1.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1024" data-original-width="898" height="500" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtnS8FExzLW3UIe0U01VCgHeqH7Rp2dKsz0-urN5wAZj16Ugo52ptx8NNQpPRB7xtnPZtdTXU-GGJirp1899wJ6Ian6LBUypDnHTWRxa-6eoY-Y-VXsL6CpXZkEJuRC5YB5IapGgFCDz8/w439-h500/Sticker+Monday+July27+1.jpg" width="439" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><font color="#bf9000">For card #2, </font>I not only coloured the drink but also the words...then I adhered the coloured sticker to yellow cardstock and matted it on black cardstock as well.....now isn't that cool?....I decided ths would look great as the topper for a gatefold card.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiojYG5oHcf70fhU1QEuPH_Ovxsc2JdxDs2u4A6KMRxPPikEtIqXXroArupeZfnXXp80O9RMCV9GJ9Z3Y_MU0Zc6AWJ2AfR9nIhJnrZrPVhFlHeuHqYiqt1XBHzLsOfCMB7SOKrYduk4T4/s1024/July+27+new.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1024" data-original-width="866" height="500" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiojYG5oHcf70fhU1QEuPH_Ovxsc2JdxDs2u4A6KMRxPPikEtIqXXroArupeZfnXXp80O9RMCV9GJ9Z3Y_MU0Zc6AWJ2AfR9nIhJnrZrPVhFlHeuHqYiqt1XBHzLsOfCMB7SOKrYduk4T4/w424-h500/July+27+new.jpg" width="424" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><font color="#990000">Here is card #3</font> and you can see how much glam is added to the sticker as you compare it with the other two black and white ones. Today we are colouring a white dress with a colourful pattern. The fun image I am using is called <a href="http://www.thepapershelter.com/">"Capture the moment" by The Paper Shelter, fondly called TPS.</a><br />
<br />
I haven't tried this before so its an experiment for me as much as it may be for you. So sit back and enjoy.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2r3UzY2E8uMIxcWrAjK5eTNZtykd0N3TOWwhyphenhyphenJCC8NLZCC7eMhTo8P-OvBa8e1WCrQdGevqAZF39S5IKFc9NzuUe1pnGmwMEpMCmWo-mNJrc05D1NigVthUf1KMrQ2wjSn9pGC6-xzUuI/s1600/Gypsy+girl.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1024" data-original-width="768" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2r3UzY2E8uMIxcWrAjK5eTNZtykd0N3TOWwhyphenhyphenJCC8NLZCC7eMhTo8P-OvBa8e1WCrQdGevqAZF39S5IKFc9NzuUe1pnGmwMEpMCmWo-mNJrc05D1NigVthUf1KMrQ2wjSn9pGC6-xzUuI/s320/Gypsy+girl.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
<h3>
Where to start?</h3>
It was so much fun to play with colours. Starting with the dress, I chose the areas to add my colours namely the sleeves the hemlines and the pattern on the lower half of the dress, remembering to add darker hues at the folds.<br />
<br />
<h3>
How to add colour to white and still keep it white?</h3>
I could have left the dress as is after adding the pattern but shadows were needed to make the folds "pop. So using copic warm grays; C04, C02, C0, I created folds in the dress starting from the darkest colour to the light, using the lines in the illustration.<br />
<br />
<h3>
What next?</h3>
<div>
Now that the dress was completed, I coloured the hat, bag and the girl's hair and body. I always try to use the guide lines set out by the illustrator when colouring and I colour in small parts. If you wish to see my video with this check out <a href="http://www.instagram.com/r_hamilton25/">my insta page</a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<h3>
What markers were used?</h3>
<div>
Copics W4, W2, W0, R59, R43, R35, R46, R20, YR02, E21, E30, E11, E39, E13, E15, E00, B06, B04, B02, B00, G07, G14, YG05, Y19, Y15, Y13, Y00, C7, C5, C3 C2, C1.</div>

<br />
Welcome to another SC blog filled with creative goodness. Today we show you how a simple stencilled background can add such interest to your coloured image.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrHgS-uGHq7bJezbu2TfvmRa-9d-N7cPvuXaOxLqkgR4oVV6YLG5qgYPmEg-ZSb7T0CsUj2uoMs0kboEjTJucDOxMx3eJfWil1LOn7JdzTEvBEk6SRYGGp2JVZbhQN-MfvcLvv5ECIu_Ro/s1600/cat.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1024" data-original-width="879" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrHgS-uGHq7bJezbu2TfvmRa-9d-N7cPvuXaOxLqkgR4oVV6YLG5qgYPmEg-ZSb7T0CsUj2uoMs0kboEjTJucDOxMx3eJfWil1LOn7JdzTEvBEk6SRYGGp2JVZbhQN-MfvcLvv5ECIu_Ro/s320/cat.jpg" width="274" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
The image we are playing with is that mischievous cat 'bandit' from <a href="https://www.sassycherylsstamps.com/">Sassy Cheryl's </a> and he is a cutie. We also have a time lapse video on <a href="https://www.instagram.com/r_hamilton25/">instagram</a> showing how this project unfolded.<br />
<br />
<h3>
<span style="color: #cc0000;"><u>Colouring with Copics</u></span></h3>
The cat was first coloured with the folllowing copic markers YR07, YR04, YR14, YR02, Y19, R20, R00, 100, C7, C5, W2, W0, B18, B06, B04. Notice that I added strokes in the direction of the artist's outline of the cat's fur, to give it a multicoloured look. For a different look, you can also add some random black patches of fur.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjORiCeSdDpjEsdnufAM4AzNhJyuaFKeSxxxqJRkeh_DFDp3G03JYe9Nl1iMgt23vj1Y5JSNRqH2sD2Zq19xNe1cFBWsqjNuo8Ct98nicMDvWwA_2sMUdYJOvqcIe1V9NOku5XHiVK6zhma/s1600/copic-markers-2232608_1920.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1067" data-original-width="1600" height="133" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjORiCeSdDpjEsdnufAM4AzNhJyuaFKeSxxxqJRkeh_DFDp3G03JYe9Nl1iMgt23vj1Y5JSNRqH2sD2Zq19xNe1cFBWsqjNuo8Ct98nicMDvWwA_2sMUdYJOvqcIe1V9NOku5XHiVK6zhma/s200/copic-markers-2232608_1920.jpg" width="200" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
After colouring, the stencil was overlayed over the coloured image and distress ink tumbled glass was used to add colour to the background.<br />
<br />
Finally the stamp 'laugh' was inked on to the coloured background. Here is the project again<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Today I am featuring a cute dolphin; image from <a href="http://www.kitandclowder.com/">Kit and Clowder</a>. Coloured using copic markers in gray and yellow.<br />
