Hi there. Welcome to another spectacular bloghop at Stamplorations with Sweet Cherry Cards, which is always fun, lively and so colourful.
Today I have 3 great projects for you.
FIRST PROJECT
The 1st project are traditional Christmas candles- one of the more popular items that we associate with Christmas as it signifies light that shines with brightness for all to see.
SECOND PROJECT
For the 2nd project, I created a background stamping multiple times and did negative painting with distress inks.
Hope you enjoyed the 3 projects and don't forget to check out the other guest artists on the bloghop and comment for an opportunity to win a $15 shopping spree at Stamplorations.
We at Sweet Cherry Cards along with Stamplorations team do wish you a wonderful holiday and a happy 2019. Have a wonderful season.
Today I have 3 great projects for you.
FIRST PROJECT
The 1st project are traditional Christmas candles- one of the more popular items that we associate with Christmas as it signifies light that shines with brightness for all to see.
The stamp used here is Stamplorations Christmas Candles Large. In this project I decided to colour them up using a loosely painted style with the gansai tambi watercolour paints, that I like and which is quite a fun style to do actually.
Here I have added a copper finish to it to make it look a bit vintage which is another style I like. So change up things abit and try different media to give your projects a twist. With this project you can either frame it as a picture or adhere to black cardstock whichever you prefer.
Here it is again!
SECOND PROJECT
For the 2nd project, I created a background stamping multiple times and did negative painting with distress inks.
The Stamplorations stamp used is one of my favourites which is Tropical Drinks and as I live in the tropics and we are known as consumers and makers of rum and rum products especially at Christmas time we make a drink called 'ponche de creme' which is like eggnog but with lots and lots of rum. We also make a drink called 'sorrel' which is also named after the fruit 'sorrel' and that too has rum added to it.
The distress inks used were mustard seed, spiced marmalade, peeled paint, twisted citron, candied apple and scattered straw.
Here is the finished card again.
THIRD PROJECT
For my 3rd project, here is that cute giraffe from Stamplorations Tweet Love. I just wanted to colour him up one more time. Instead of giving him dark spots I opted for gray spots.
Using a toothbrush dipped in paint from my gansai tambi watercolour set, I began splashing the white cardstock with yellow, orange, red and green paint.
For the background, I cut out cloud shapes which I then stuck together as a mask to create the beautiful cloudy sky as you can see here, using the window die that I intended to use, as a guide.
The next step was to colour and die cut the giraffe and the balloons which I did using copic colours and the corresponding dies in the Tweet love set and the project was then pieced together. Here is the card again.
