Colour pencils, inks and tropical drink; irridescent coffee basket;animals in the night sky

Oh wow...its time for another Blog Hop at Stamplorations. I am so happy that Sweet Cherry cards is a part of such a fun event.

Today we have another great selection of cards for you. The three I have here have a more CAS style of card making.

The first card is called irridescent coffee basket. The stamp I used here is Stamplorations Blooming Spring Coffee Basket. Its a delightful stamp which can be coloured and presented in so many ways. For this card I used several embossing powders.

To get the look I did, I combined 3 different embossing colours; Clear lemon, Lime Green and Irridescent.

Now the funny thing was that the combination happened in error as the plan was to do a rainbow look on the stamped image but I forgot I had not returned the excess powder to its container and I added the next colour as I was trying not to let the ink dry too fast as it was a very hot day and well you can guess what happened next....I ended up with this lovely blend. So I said why not...mix them up and see the effect, so I added irridescent powder to the blend and embossed a new stamped image. Here is the embossed image on a circular shaped card base.

Here I added one of the very appropriate messages from the stamp set, 'Java a nice day' . Now doesn't that make your day..........

Here is the card again.....

For my next card, I went tropical with the Stamplorations 'Tropical Drink stamp.

For this one, I brought out my Prismacolor colour pencils for a change in technique.

First I stamped the image in brown rather than black for a change. Then I began colouring the image starting with the cute umbrella. The colour pencils used were PC938, PC1027, PC924, PC903, PC909, PC904, PC1021, PC1083, PC911, PC910, PC912, PC909, PC916, PC922, PC918, PC913, PC1023, and PC917.

To colour the glass, I first coloured the outer edges and gradually moved inward and then upward with lighter strokes.

For the message I used one of the stamps from Stamplorations 'Imagine' clear stamp set, 'The Good Life'   To highlight the drink I painted with Ranger's Citron Twist distress ink., which you can see in the completed card. Here is another look at the card.

For my 3rd card I chose the cute stamp and die set Tweet Love......arent they adorable......coloured in copics. It looks like theyre looking through a doorway up into the night sky.

The animals were first coloured in Copics using Y18, Y13,YOO, Y35, Y21, B00, B02, B000, V09, RV34, RV32, RV11, E11, E00, E13, E15 and E18. Using the corresponding die cuts I cut out the 3 images.

After completing that part of the card, I then began preparing the night sky background with cardstock from my stash and double sided tape to make the background more dimensional.

After completing the background, I stamped one of the messages from the same 'Tweet Love' stamp set on the same paper from which I used, to cut the shapes and adhere them to the inside of the frame.  Here is the card again...

Hope you like today's cards and I look forward seeing you back here at Sweet Cherry cards. Don't forget to check out the other cards from the rest of the design team and comment for a chance to win the prize at today's Stamplorations Blog Hop. Have a sweet cherry day!.
