"Hero Arts Winter time fun"- Magical scenery with snow fall.......

Hey guys welcome back to Sweet Cherry Cards. For the month of August (my birth month),..I am starting it off with an adorable, fun yet simple card for your stop here..... on the Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog Hop.

For this card, I used a myriad of techniques; stamping, distressing, diecutting, 'stamping off', illumination, stencilling and masking.

The Background

Lets look at the background...a beautiful hazy green. Using ranger distress inks in twisted citron and peeled paint, I created that magical green scene. I die cut a slope shape on scrap paper and use it to mask the ground to look like snow banks, while applying the distress inks.

After the inks had dried I added white pigment ink to create the ethereal sky as it created an illumined sky.

Creating the forest....

Using the tree stamp, 'Winter Trees' by Deep Red, I created this beautiful forest. I used the stamping off technique to make some trees appear lighter than others.

....And everything else...

I next stamped the image of the fox and the sled  from the Hero Arts Winter Fun Collection and coloured with copic markers. For the falling snow, I used a stencil and the same white pigment ink, finishing off with the greeting in silver  embossing ink.

Here is the card again....enjoy...

Have a Sweet Cherry Day and don't forget to leave a comment before you check out the other amazing designers.
